There were reservations with respect to a simple, quick and cost-effective dispute resolution mechanism prescribed by the repealed Central farm laws. The repealed laws provided a three tier dispute resolution – the conciliation board, Sub District Magistrate and Appellate Authority (Collector or Additional Collector) – and barred the jurisdiction of civil courts.
