Capacity Development

Capacity development counters misinformation by honing expertise in discerning truth from falsehood.

Our team has been working to facilitate capacity development by encouraging learning and improving the fact-checking and critical digital literacy skills of agri-food actors. To combat misinformation in agri-food, climate, and rural landscape, we have been creating modules to support training and coaching (using both offline and online resources) of various stakeholders, following the principles of a technology stewardship program and good practices in combating misinformation and disinformation.

Training Workbook and Brochure

This is a training brochure developed to train the next generation of agri-food professionals on misinformation and enhance their critical agri-food literacy. The brochure was developed in collaboration with  Futurum Careers, a free online resource and magazine aimed at encouraging 14-19-year-olds worldwide to pursue careers in science, tech, engineering, maths, medicine (STEM) and social sciences, humanities and the arts for people and the economy (SHAPE).
