Title

Consensus on consensus: A synthesis of consensus estimates on human‐caused global warming.

Summary

This paper synthesizes six independent studies, finding a 90%-100% consensus among publishing climate scientists that humans are the cause for global warming. Surveys of these papers also support the 97% consensus, contrasting with Tol’s findings from non-expert surveys, which show lower consensus due to the correlation between expertise and agreement on climate science. The paper concludes that the 97% consensus in published climate research is robust and consistent with other studies of climate scientists.
