Title

PAPA Knows Best: Principles for the Ethical Sharing of Information on Social Networking Sites

Summary

This paper explores how social networking sites have transformed the information society described by Mason 23 years ago, prompting a reevaluation of social contracts meant to protect society members. It examines historical events involving social networking sites using the PAPA framework to highlight ethical issues in information sharing. The paper also proposes four preliminary principles to guide the ethical use of social networking sites.
