EU-Funded Seeds4Liberia Project Supports Climate-Resilient Seed Systems in Liberia
Launched in Monrovia, the EU-funded Seeds4Liberia Project, with a budget of $6.5 million, seeks to reinvigorate Liberia’s farming industry by improving robust seed systems for essential crops like rice, cassava, and soybeans. The initiative, led by AfricaRice and its collaborators, aims to enhance domestic seed production and quality infrastructure, equipping Liberian farmers with superior, climate-adaptive seeds to bolster food security and decrease import dependency.
