This paper examines the role of ICTs in providing agricultural information to smallholder banana farmers, with radio, television, and mobile phones being the most accessible tools for production and marketing knowledge. Socio-economic factors such as age, gender, income, and farm size influenced the intensity of ICT usage, with education and internet access being the primary barriers. The study suggests policy actions like reducing taxes on radio-wave licensing and improving access to affordable mobile handsets to enhance the use of ICTs in agricultural information dissemination.
