This paper discusses how Extension professionals can use social media to enhance traditional technology transfer methods and reach new audiences. It highlights the increasing popularity of social media and its potential to provide timely, professional guidance and encourage peer-to-peer interactions. The paper examines current social media usage among Extension professionals and offers strategies for integrating these tools into existing outreach programs. It also identifies opportunities and challenges in expanding outreach efforts through social media.
