Title

Institutionalizing delay: Foundation funding and the creation of U.S. climate change counter‐movement organizations

Summary

This paper analyzes the financial resources mobilized by climate change counter-movement (CCCM) organizations in the U.S. from 2003 to 2010. It reveals that these organizations, which include advocacy groups and think tanks, collectively receive over $900 million annually, primarily from conservative foundations. The study also identifies a trend toward concealing funding sources through donor-directed philanthropies.
