The article aims to conceptualize Psychological Operations (PSYOPs) in the Indian context by highlighting the need for a clear understanding of related concepts and a structured policy approach to manage and implement PSYOPs for national security. The article focuses on the psychological dimension of conflict as the physical aspect, and argues that the psychological operations (PSYOPs) have become more important in the modern age of information. It emphasizes that terrorists use violence to instill psychological fear, making PSYOPs essential for addressing socio-psychological threats.
