The article emphasizes the importance of specific definitions and an in-depth comprehension of disinformation to tackle its magnitude, frequency, and speed. The authors note the absence of a widely accepted classification system and specific criteria for identifying false information in the digital information sphere. To rectify this, the authors integrate various disinformation typologies proposed by experts into an integrated framework and introduce a taxonomy with three independent aspects for categorizing disinformation. The taxonomy is intended to facilitate additional multidisciplinary research by offering a systematic method for examining the traits of different forms of disinformation.
