Title

Social media in agricultural extension services: Farmers and Extension Agents Perspective.

Summary

The study evaluates the current use of social media in agricultural extension services and farmers’ attitudes towards it in Chapainawabganj Sadar Upazila, Bangladesh. It finds that while 75% of farmers have a moderately positive view of social media, usage is low due to factors such as illiteracy and lack of training, with Facebook and YouTube being the most popular platforms. Extension officers also use social media but believe it can help bridge the information gap between them and farmers, highlighting the need for initiatives to promote social media use among farmers.
