Title

Support for climate policy and societal action are linked to perceptions about scientific agreement

Summary

Misconceptions about climate scientists’ agreement on global warming significantly reduce public support for climate policies. The belief that scientists disagree undermines key supportive beliefs about climate change, such as its reality, human causation, seriousness, and solvability. Correcting this misconception could enhance public support for climate action.
