Researchers discover new method to significantly reduce GHG emissions in agriculture
An international team of researchers from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU) have discovered bacteria that reduce nitrous oxide emissions. As the bacteria are relatively inexpensive to produce and effective in soil, this innovation offers a potential solution by allowing continued fertilizer use while mitigating greenhouse gas emissions. However, further validation through extensive trials is necessary before widespread adoption.
